2020年上海市外国留学生预科学院招生简章


   上海市外国留学生预科学院”(以下简称“预科学院”)是由上海市教育委员会设立,委托上海师范大学进行管理与日常教学的外国留学生预科教育基地。

预科学院”依托上海师范大学的师资、学科优势及办学资源,同时充分借鉴中国政府奖学金本科生开展预科教育的模式与经验,制定适合预科学生的教学及管理方案,使学生通过预科学习在汉语言知识和能力、相关专业知识以及跨文化交际能力等方面达到进入中国高等学校进行专业学习的基本标准。


预科学院介绍

1、招生对象

拟在上海市各高校进行本科专业学习,在汉语言知识和能力、相关专业知识以及跨文化交际能力等方面尚未达到进入中国高等学校专业阶段学习基本标准的外国留学生。学制为1


2、课程设置及教学安排

第一学期为汉语语言强化训练课程,每周30节课。第二学期除继续强化汉语课程外,增加经贸汉语、数学、中国文化、理科综合和文科综合课程,每周30节课。


3、师资队伍

预科学院”利用上海师范大学的师资、学科优势,成立教学研究室,遴选和引进一批优秀教师,具有扎实的专业水平、丰富的教学经验,素质高、能力强。


4、费用

1)报名费:人民币 520 元(约合80美元) (上海师范大学银行账号

2)学费:人民币 17,000 /学期

3)来华留学生综合医疗保险:800 /

4)住宿费:

60-70 //天(双人标间,配备书桌、空调、冰箱、独立卫生间)

120-140//天 (单人间,配备书桌、空调、冰箱、独立卫生间


预科学院奖为成绩优秀的申请者提供奖学金,预科学院奖学金分为三类:

**未获得预科学院奖学金的学生,也可自费留在预科学院就读。


备注:

  1. 申请一类、二类奖学金的同学,不可更改本科就读学校,预科毕业后,必须回原学校就读。

  2. 申请三类奖学金或者自费就读的同学,在预科毕业后可以继续申请在上海任一本科院校就读,但本科阶段的奖学金,需要重新申请。

  3. 所有预科学院的学生(自费生或奖学金生),每三个月进行一次评估,根据评估情况,动态调整奖学金类型;一年学习期满后,根据最后评估情况,可以优先申请本科四年的奖学金(资助内容同上海市政府奖学金A类或B类)。


重要说明:

**预科学院奖学金实行学期评审,不接受评审或者评审不合格者,奖学金将被降级直至被取消奖学金资格。


申请条件:

  1. 年满18周岁,不超过23周岁的非中国籍人士(自费学生不受年龄限制);

  2. 中国大陆(内地)、香港、澳门和台湾居民在移民外国后作为外国留学生申请我校者,我校执行《教育部教外来[2009]83号文》。

  3. 身体健康(需要提供正规医院签发的外国人体格检查表) ;

  4. 高中阶段学习成绩优异,有良好的学习发展潜力(**申请预科一等奖学金者,汉语水平需达到HSK3级或以上,高中课程平均绩点:3.6/44.5/590/100或者A);

  5. 达到申请院校奖学金录取条件

  6. 申请奖学金的同学,须未同时获得中国政府其它各类奖学金。

  1. 填写完整的《上海市外国留学生预科学院入学申请表》(可登陆上海师范大学国际学生在线申请系统https://apply.shnu.edu.cn在线申请,并上传相关材料

  2. 报名费520/80美元,可在线缴纳(报名费不予退还)

  3. 身体健康证明(需要提供正规医院签发的外国人体格检查表

  4. 高中毕业证书复印件(应届生可提交预计毕业证明;如非中、英文本需附上经公证的中文或英文翻译件)

  5. 高中阶段全部课程的成绩单(如非中、英文本需附上经公证的中文或英文翻译件)

  6. 本国高考或者会考的成绩单(如非中、英文本需附上经公证的中文或英文翻译件)

  7. 其他证明个人学习能力或活动能力的获奖证书(如非中、英文本需附上经公证的中文或英文翻译件)

  8. 汉语水平证明(HSK 3级或以上证书或学校学习证明)

  9. 如果有大学的学习经历,必须提供完整的学习成绩单(如非中、英文本需附上经公证的中文或英文翻译件)

  10. 个人介绍(不少于800字,包括自我介绍、学习计划等)

申请截止日期:

申请奖学金:2020430日为申请截止日期,以接收到申请材料时间为准;

学校统一评审后,将在6月底通知学生录取情况及奖学金授予情况,并在国际交流处网站公示。

自费学习:申请开放至20206月19日。


开学时间

20209月份(具体时间以录取通知书通知为准)。所有学生必须按时报到。不能按时报到且未经允许,奖学金资格将被取消。

学习时间

20209月中旬至20216月底(预科在寒假期间有小学期,所有学生必须参加,具体以学校安排为准)


其他

自费在预科学院学习并且成绩优异的学生,毕业后可优先申请上海市政府奖学金(A类或B类),完成四年本科的学习。

Shanghai International Students Pre-college

Application Guideline, 2020


Shanghai International Students Pre-college (SISP) is sponsored by Shanghai Education Committee and hosted by Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) for course design and delivery, and management.


The primary goal for SISP is to prepare students academically, linguistically and culturally for undergraduate studies in various subject areas offered by Shanghai-based universities. Backed by an experienced strong teaching team, SISP’s curriculum and courses are specifically tailor-made for the needs of international students. SISP is always ready to welcome applicants who wish to develop their academic potential in metropolitan Shanghai.


Applicant

SISP is open to foreign nationals who wish to pursue undergraduate studies in Shanghai, and yet need to improve their Chinese language proficiency, cross-cultural communication competence and required academic abilities for undertaking undergraduate studies in Shanghai.


Course

SISP provides one-year full-time intensive courses, which are:

1st semester: intensive Chinese language and culture courses (30 class sessions per week);

2nd semester: intensive Chinese courses, Math, Business Chinese, Chinese culture courses and comprehensive science and humanities courses (30class sessions per week);

Extracurricular activities, including Chinese Corner, seminars, cultural immersion, etc.


Living Facilities

SISP students are provided with on-campus accommodation with access to the Internet, public kitchen, laundry room, sports facilities, etc.


Fees

  1. Application fee: RMB520.00 or USD80.00 (non-refundable) (bank account).

  2. Tuition fee: RMB17,000.00/semester

  3. Accommodation:

    1. RMB70/person/day for a double room with A/C, Fridge, Reading desk, en-suite bathroom, public kitchen.

    2. RMB120/person/day for a single room with A/C, Fridge, Reading desk, en-suite bathroom, public kitchen.

SISP Scholarship

SISP provides scholarship to outstanding applicants. The SISP scholarship has three categories:

We also welcome applicants who may not get SISP Scholarship to study at SISP with self-sponsorship.


Notes

  1. The applicants who receive 1st or 2nd prize are NOT allowed to change their universities for their undergraduate studies upon their completing SISP.

  2. The applicants who receive 3rd prize or are self-sponsored can choose their undergraduate studies in any universities in Shanghai at their own wish and apply for a new scholarship.

  3. SISP scholarship recipient will receive evaluation twice each semester. The scholarship will be terminated for the recipients who fail the evaluation or refuse to do the evaluation.

  4. Outstanding SISP students have the priority to be granted Shanghai Government Scholarship (Type A or Type B) for their undergraduate studies at the host universities.


SISP Scholarship Requirement

  1. Non-Chinese citizen aged between 18 and 23.

  2. In good health (Physical Examination Record Form for Internationals must be provided by authorized hospitals).

  3. Applicants who have emigrated from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan to other countries should meet the conditions set by the “Document No. 83 (2009) of Ministry of Education of the PRC”.

  4. Outstanding in academic performance.

  5. Chinese Proficiency: HSK3 or above.

  6. Meet the entrance criteria for the undergraduate programs in the host university.

  7. Not receive any other Chinese scholarships.


Materials to be submitted

  1. Completed “Application Form for SISPApplicants must complete their online application at https://apply.shnu.edu.cn and submit all documents

  2. (Physical Examination Record Form for Internationals must be provided by authorized hospitals).

  3. Certified copy of secondary school graduation certificate and transcripts(fresh graduate may submit proof for possible graduation; notarized Chinese or English translated copy are required for non-Chinese or non-English documents)

  4. Chinese Proficiency certificate(HSK 3 or above)

  5. National College entrance examination record (if applicable)

  6. Other certificates proving academic performance or social capabilities (notarized Chinese or English translated copy are required for non-Chinese or non-English documents)

  7. If already a registered college student, the full transcript at current college must be provided.

  8. Personal statement in no less than 800 words, stating personal strengths, reasons for choosing the course and study plan.

  9. Photocopy of the passport

  10. Two recommendation letters from your school teachers or experts (notarized Chinese or English translated copy are required for non-Chinese or non-English documents. The letter should indicate the occupation, post, contact information of the referee) (Recommendation letter sample.docx)

Application Deadline

April 30th, 2020 is the application deadline for scholarship applicants.

June 19th, 2020 is the application deadline for self-sponsored applicants.

The final enrollment list will be publicized on the website of International Affairs Office, SHNU.


School Open

The academic year starts in September 2020 (please refer to the admission letter for the exact date) All successful applicants must register at SHNU on the due date. Non-appearance at the registration date will lead to the cancellation of the scholarship and study.


Study Duration

From mid-September, 2020 to late June, 2021.


Others

Self-sponsored students at SISP with an outstanding academic performance at SISP will have the priority to apply for the Shanghai Government Scholarship (Type A or B), which will sponsor his/her four-year undergraduate study in the host university.


Application Results

The results will be communicated to the applicants at the end of June via e-mail.

We will send out the Admission Letter and JW202 form (for visa application) in Mid-July.
